Our Roots

Laporte was founded in Calgary, Alberta in 2011 by a hardworking and highly sought after fabricator with a dream and remarkable talent. He has a deep love of his craft and a passion for producing beautiful, quality work without compromise.

Shayne Laporte comes with 20+ years of hands-on experience, and is recognized as one of the most skilled fabricators in the city. All projects are overseen by our owner from beginning to end.
 

Our Technology

At a time where many stone facilities have been switching operations to fully digital fabrication to reduce labour costs, Laporte insists that all of our staff are skilled in hand-fabrication.

We believe that where a machine's capabilities end, hand fabrication has no limits except for the material being worked with. Equipped with both CNC technology and skilled labour, we have the equipment, knowledge and skill to tackle high end and demanding projects.

This enables us to be among the top facilities in Calgary for custom fabrication, from mitered and pitched edge profiling to laminations, pillars and more.

Laporte’s focus is not high volume and as such, we are able to work closely with our clients in a more personalized and intimate setting. You will not feel like a part of an assembly line, or another “number”.

We value each and every one of our clients and strive to treat them like members of our family. To us, your business is never “just business”. We take personal pride in what we do.

All of our fabrication is done in house, we do not outsource out of province. We work closely with local businesses including designers, architects, contractors, custom builders, as well as vendors. Working with us, you can rest assured that you are supporting numerous local businesses.
